Mykel…a brief history
Born in the east bay of San Francisco, California, Mykel (aka Michael Dicus) caught on to his love for singing when he successfully quieted an auditorium filled with the toughest teenagers a high school could stand when he sang his first duet ...“All Cried Out”.
Mykel moved through high school, participating in every musical he was cast in and writing all the melodies his mind and fingers could conjure, finally taking a leap of faith and finding himself at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy with his eyes on the lights of Broadway.
Mykel…it’s bliss, it’s Kashmir Nirvana
After a few years of national tours, cruise ships, off-off Broadway experimental theater intertwined with his passion for songwriting and his flavor for rock and blues, Mykel began focusing on a band that started out as ONE POWER, which in it’s short life span opened the door for Mykel to evolve as a recording artist… rock singer… television personality… a well rounded entertainer… it's bliss, it’s Kashmir Nirvana.
